Karl Cherni (1791-1857) is primarily known as the author of a huge number of studies and exercises for piano. They were reflected in the aesthetic aspirations of the ink-composer and instructive installations of the ink-pedagogue.

This collection includes sketches of the Op. 399 and Op. 718, aimed at the technical improvement and development of the mobility of the left hand.

The publication is addressed to students of the middle and senior grades of the Children's School and the Children's Code, students of music schools and conservatories in the course of the general piano.
