Boleslav Vilgelmovich Vevern, a representative of the military dynasty of the Vevernov, who faithfully served Russia and fought for it from the time of the Crimean war to the Great Patriotic War. Colonel Vevern spent the whole World War II on the front line, commanding the artillery battery. In exile, he wrote memories. These memoirs, extremely emotional, vivid and accurate in detail, were published in Paris in 1938 with the direct participation of the general and prominent military historian N. N. Golovin, who pre -pre -pre -leads.
