The English meeting of the short prose of Vladimir Nabokov (1899–1977), released by the son of a writer in 1995, is well known in the West. However, in Russian, in which Nabokov wrote the majority of his stories, the book was not published for a long time.
Thanks to the many years of work by researchers, the volumes compiled by Dmitry Nabokov was replenished with new works, as a result of which by 2008 under one cover it was possible to collect more than sixty stories written by Nabokov in 1920-1951 in European emigration and America. In addition to well -known works, in this full collection of stories, rare early works are presented, as well as the preface and notes of Nabokov from English collections.
The application publishes that are not included in previous stories collections. The publication is equipped with a preface and notes by D. Nabokov, the reader will also find a significant set of information in the comments of the editor and compiler of the collection Andrei Babikov. English stories are printed in the translation of Gennady Barattarlo, prepared with the participation of Vera Nabokova.
The features of spelling, punctuation and transliteration of the translator are preserved.
