The eleventh release of the author’s periodical “Special Child” is devoted to various aspects of helping the family raising a child with developmental disabilities. The problems of such a family, its place in society and the ways of assistance are shown through the eyes of both the specialists of the RBOO Center for Medical Pedagogy and partner organizations, and representatives of the families themselves. The collection includes the results of modern research, methodological development and practical experience of joint work of specialists and parents. The publication is addressed to specialists (psychologists, teachers, defectologists, etc.), working with children and adults with various developmental disorders, families in which such children are brought up, as well as to everyone who is interested in this problem.
