Any self-respecting people in each era of its history should at least one crazy romance-habitable. Then, there is a chance that the people will maintain mental balance and a healthy ability to treat themselves not too seriously. Such people are especially necessary for large cities, especially in our time. Pat Ingoldzby, a man with a biography, which would be enough for three, is such a great Dublin romantic of the twentieth century, a poet, playwright, and in the past - also a star of Irish television, a favorite of children.
In the late 1980s, Pat finally quit “going to work” and devoted all his time of poetry-all these years he composes poetry, publishes them almost exclusively in Samizdat and himself sells them on the streets of Dublin. So Pat also became a city attraction.
In Russian, in 2020, Dodo Press was released by subscription by his poetry collection “The Beauty of the Smart Eyes” (1999) and Ingoldzby instantly arose a small but enthusiastic army of Russian-speaking fans.
