Dostoevsky, united in this collection (“Roman in nine letters”, “Alien wife and husband under the bed”, “Dyadyushkin Dream”, “Failure joke”, “Crocodile”), are less known to a wide circle readers and, as a rule, remain outside the field of vision of researchers who are taking up the main features of the poetics and artistic philosophy of the writer. They were created by Dostoevsky at the beginning of the literary path, and it is quite difficult to guess the author of the future “great Pentateuch” (unlike, for example, from the novel “Poor People”, the novels “Double”, “White Nights”, etc.).
