David Hoy (1711-1776)-Scottish philosopher, economist and historian, publicist, one of the largest figures of Scottish education.

“Treatise of human nature” by David Home is a classic presentation of philosophical empiricism, skepticism, and skepticism and Naturalism. He had a deep influence on the subsequent philosophy, including directly on Kant's “critical philosophy”, the positivism of the 19th century and the analytical philosophy of the twentieth century.
