Eva West is an excellent detective, but even she is not safe from failures. When her operation ends with a failure, Eve is removed from the service. The killer John Duran, whom she sent for jail several years ago, offers her to help her to help her honest name. Eve concludes a deal with him: she must investigate an old crime for which they condemned an innocent person. Uniting with journalist Dan Cooper, Eve is immersed in the past and understands that she was drawn into something much more complex and sinister than it seemed at first glance.
