A well of desires (illustrations by Pacishns John). Payshns John
On the highest tree in the village of Rainbow, the forty lived.
She settled here for a very long time, putting her nest to the top of the old hazel. Every morning, the forty flew away somewhere and returned only in the evening, announcing the district of a joyful crackling. She sat down in the nest and crackled incessantly, telling where she was and what she saw.
everyone knows that the magpie is the most talkative bird in the world, so the inhabitants of the village of Rainbow did not really believe her stories. Magpie often chatted about the amazing world of large people who live in the city behind the high hills, but the dwarves only chuckled: “The long -tailed one was rested again!”
ah, if they looked into her nest! Silver spoons, coins, rings, beads - forty trained so many jewelry in her house that it would be enough for a whole treasure! But the most amazing - all these things were just a huge size of dwarves in the standards of dwarfs! They could wear rings like bracelets, and use a teaspoon instead of a soup. But the dwarves did not even know about the wealth that the tricky forty possessed.
