The Spirit of Love (1931) is the first novel of the wonderful English writer Daphne Dumorye (1907–1989). Its plot unfolds against the backdrop of the exciting landscapes of Cornwall, which has become the second homeland for Dumory, as well as the place of action and its other famous novels: “The tavern“ Jamaica ”,“ Rebecca ”,“ Royal General ”,“ My Cousin Rachel ”...“ Spirit Love Vi ”is a family saga about the four generations of Cornwall Kum Be, who has a ship's shipyard. The history of this family, half of sorrows and joys, mutual love and hatred, covers a hundred years, from the thirties of the XIX century to the thirties of the XX century.
