Niccolo Machiavelli is one of the most famous Italian thinkers and politicians of the Renaissance (held the post of state secretary in Florence), a writer, historian, military theorist who created a number of historical and political works (“Reasoning about the first decade of Titus Libya”, “ History of Florence "). The most significant and ambiguous work was the treatise "Sovereign". For many years, this book was associated with the policy of poison and dagger, and after its release the term “Machiavellism” appeared, denoting cynicism, permissiveness, duplicity in politics.
