About painting. Classical leadership. Leonardo da Vinci
The series of books “Classical Library for Drawing” includes rare ancient publications that have both cognitive and bibliographic value. This publication is a compilation of the manuscripts of the great Italian painter and architect, inventor and scientist, musician and sculptor Leonardo da Vinci. One of the largest representatives of the art of high revival, this brilliant master gave the painting only a small part of the time and worked quite slowly. Therefore, the artistic heritage is quantitatively small, and a number of his works are lost or severely damaged. As an addition to a dozen mysterious and beautiful works, Leonardo left us a considerable number of sketches, notes and notes, which not only surprised and delighted his contemporaries, but also cause delight among the modern reader. These are about four thousand sheets, which have a lengthy name “Leonardo's notebooks” and, in fact, representing several different collections of his manuscripts. Affecting many topics, from the theory of fine art to the features of the process of smelting and casting of metals, from anatomical studies to the details of aircraft and weaving machines, from complex thoughts about strength and movement, to amazing visionary thoughts about celestial bodies, they give us practically unlimited access to The rich imagination of the great master.
