About Pushkin, o Pasternak. Work of different years. Dolinin A.
The study of the poetic worlds of Alexander Pushkin and Boris Pasternak at different times devoted their strength to the best domestic literary critics. In their row, a prominent place is occupied by Alexander Alekseevich Dolinin, a well -known philologist, honorary professor of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, the author of numerous works on Russian, English and American literature. This collection included his work about two great poets, united by general research attitudes. In each of the articles, the author tries to unravel a certain riddle lying in the field of poetics or the history of literature, allowing apparent contradictions and obscure allusions in the text, establish its contexts and subtexts.
Studies by A. A. Dolinin, as a rule, introduce new material from Russian and Western European culture into view and often are polemic. The appendix prints an author’s commentary on Mozart and Salieri, in which the history of the legend about Mozart’s poisoning is reconstructed in detail, literary parallels are established and “dark places” of drama are analyzed.
