Saint Innokenty, Archbishop of Kherson and Tauride (in the world Ivan Alekseevich Borisov) was born on December 15, 1800 in the city of Yelz Oryol province.

Already the first significant work “Earthly Life of Jesus Christ” made his name famous in Russia. Another area of ​​the program of influence on the souls of people was his preaching activity. Subsequently, Vladyka Innocent will be called "Russian Chinese."
