About the subordination of a woman. John Stewart Mill
John Stewart Mill can safely be called one of the first feminists who were not afraid to declare to England the 19th century about the “legal subordination of one gender to another”: in 1869, the book “On the Subordination of the Woman” was published in the creation of this work. Three: Mill's wife Harriet Taylor-Mill, her daughter Helen Taylor and John Stewart himself. Harriet Taylor-Mill, the English feminist, wrote on socio-philosophical topics, it was her ideas that formed the basis of the book “On the Subordination of a Woman”, however, only the name of John Stuart was indicated on the cover. Perhaps they, together with his wife and stepdaughter, considered that they will listen to the thoughts of the philosopher-feminist than to the arguments of women. After almost 150 years, many ideas of the authors have not lost their relevance, they remain interesting and in demand in the company of the 21st century. This publication is equipped with an introductory article by candidate of philosophical sciences, curaties of the feminism school Olgerta Kharitonova.
