Above the stars and other stories. Le Guin W.
Ursula Le Guin - a classic of modern science fiction and the star of world literature, a laureate of many prestigious awards (including a nine -time winner of Hugo and a six -time “Neblyo”), the author of the Earth Morea and the Khaine cycle. One of the pillars of the so -called soft, humanitarian fiction, Le Guin paid great attention to the issues of sociology and psychology, intercultural conflicts, anthropology and mythology. This collection includes the best of its non -cycle works: the novels of the “millstone of the sky”, “the eye of heron” and “threshold”, as well as a representative retrospective of works of small form, from the debut story “April in Paris” (1962) to the farewell allegory “Benchy of Water” (2014). Some works are published in Russian for the first time, some are in a new translation, the rest are in the new edition.
