Aelita. Hyperboloid engineer Garina. Tolstoy A.N.
The work of the outstanding Soviet writer Alexei Nikolayevich Tolstoy is truly multifaceted: from historical novel and scientific and fantastic prose to numerous stories, stories and plays. His Aelita and Hyperboloid engineer Garin’s novels, although they were met by modern writers with a fair amount of skepticism, became a classic of domestic science fiction, and even almost a century later they are able to captivate the reader with their bright imagery, subtle psychologism and a twisted plot. Other works of the author, included in the real publication: the story “The Adventures of Nevzorov, or Ibicus” and the story “Count Caliostro” are no less famous. The first is considered a model of the early Soviet Plutovsky novel, and the second - a masterpiece of historical prose.
The collection also included: “Union of five”, “The Murder of Antoine Rivo”, “Blue Cities” and “Extraordinary Adventures on the Volga Bath”. Gorgeous illustrations for the collection were created by recognized masters of book graphics Ivan Arkhipov, Vladimir Bogatkin and Anatoly Itkin.
