The reader’s attention is offered a book that includes the work of a prominent domestic historian, ethnographer and philologist E. G. Kagarova. In the work of “Aeschylus as a religious thinker” the question of the holistic religious worldview of the great ancient Greek playwright is considered, for which the world of gods in his tragedies is investigated, the ethical elements of his religious system are revealed. The article “Elements of Fetishism in the ancient Greek religion” is devoted to the study of elements of primitive beliefs in religious cults and rites of ancient Greeks.
