Aesthetics of soft tissues in implantology. Cardaropol D., Kazentini P.
Osteointegration, i.e. The achievement of direct contact between the bone and the surface of the implant remains necessary, but is no longer considered the only goal of implantological treatment. Currently, the success of implantation involves optimal integration of soft tissues to orthopedic structures based on implants. The aesthetics of soft tissues in the area of implants today has become a real holy grade. To obtain the optimal aesthetic result, the surgeon should not only own bone reconstruction methods, but also be able to perform the corresponding interventions on soft tissues. Only in this case it is possible to predict a satisfactory aesthetic result with confidence.
over many years of training, after a countless number of courses and lectures, we realized that the most important component of modern postgraduate education is the solution of specific clinical problems using real examples.
In this book, our 20-year clinical and teaching experience is summarized. At the beginning of each chapter, certain topics are listed that are covered in its text. In addition, the most effective methods are presented for achieving the goals, a scientific substantiation, detailed recommendations are given and a thorough analysis was carried out.
We tried to discuss the causes and consequences of the emerging clinical situations, and also showed alternative options for achieving the goals. Nevertheless, the patient is in the center of each case of treatment. Of course, each of us has brought our own knowledge and experience, but we use the same approaches and hope that our book will become useful for colleagues. We tried to present to the readers the systematic information, a clear description and exhaustive illustrations.
The true value of our experience is not in the demonstration of individual successful outcomes, but in the use of such an approach that allows you to predict high results. There is no place for luck in medical practice, but to be proud of single successes, and even more so to demonstrate them as a confirmation of the correctness of a method or another method simply irresponsible. Not everyone is lucky and not always. Our patients deserve more. We must know, understand and be able to. Without a scientifically sound approach and the use of objective data, it is impossible to correctly plan treatment and predictly achieve the set goals of therapy.
