Agasfer. Lavrin A.
“Agasfer” is the final part of the “Encyclopedia of Death” (the first and second parts - “Chronicle of Haron” and “On the other side of the flat”), a large -scale study dedicated to the urgent topic for mankind at all times of its existence. However, this book considers not so much the phenomenon of death as the possibility of extending life, “modeling fate” and even hypothetical (so far) immortality. The author, the famous writer and journalist Alexander Lavrin, traces various aspects of these problems: ethnocultural, philosophical, psychological, biological, etc., cites the opinions of historians, biologists, physicists, doctors - sometimes completely contradictory and paradoxical. And does not make the final judgments - the reader has to do it himself.
