This book is a comprehensive and comprehensive study of military art and military history of Sassanid Iran unique for domestic historiography. Based on a wide range of sources and scientific literature, the author analyzes in detail the military affairs of the Persians of the Sasanid era in terms of composition, organization, weapons, technical equipment of the Persian army, strategy and tactics of its actions. Special attention was paid to the history of the military-political confrontation of the Sasanid Power and the Roman (Byzantine) Empire, for more than four centuries (from the first half of the 3rd to the middle of the 7th centuries) determined the geopolitical situation in the Middle and Middle East and neighboring regions. The publication is addressed to both experts and all those interested in the history of military art.
