Akathist for reading in various needs

The collection is compiled from the akathists (praise) dedicated to the Lord, the Mother of God and the Holy.

In church everyday life, the akathists are sung or read on some worship and prayers in front of honored shrines. Prayer practice involves their reading during the cell (domestic) prayer. Almost every collection akathist is accompanied by a brief commentary, recommending its possible use for prayer petitions in various needs. At the foundation of this, either the names of the icons themselves or church legends about the miraculous events, healings and pious customs are laid.
