Akathist for the Fatherland. The shield of the Russian land

In the akathist “The Shield of the Russian Land” a number of akathists are given - prayer appeals to the Mother of God, Archangel Mikhail and the elected saints for our Fatherland - the Russian land, so that the Lord, His Most Holy Mother and all the saints, by our faith, preserve our people from the invasion of foreign Enemies, deadly diseases, natural disasters and fratricide, whether the spirit of fraternity and peace has approved in our country, to become all of us and ever to be a genus of God, the saints, their affairs glorifying the Father of our Heavenly.
