The book includes two greatest masterpieces of Arabic literature-“Aladdin and a magic lamp” and “Ali Baba and forty robbers” in the classic translation of the famous orientalist and philologist Mikhail Alexandrovich Salier (1899-1961). Mikhail Salier is the first and only in Russia who translated the fairy tales “Thousands and One Night” from the original language. The first volume of fairy tales was released in 1929, and the last, eighth, in 1939. This book presents an adapted text for children, which the translator himself made. The luxurious illustrations of Irina Petelina perfectly complement the text and transfer readers to the mysterious world of Arab miracles!
