Alexander Vasilievich Aleksandrov - composer, creator and first musical director of the Academic twice Red Banner, Order of the Red Star of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army. Combining in his ensemble the tradition of Russian household, chamber, opera, church and soldier’s singing, he brought domestic choral art to an international professional scene. The male polyphonic choir with soloists, a mixed orchestra consisting of symphonic and folk instruments, and the ensemble ballet is recognized and remain one of the best in the world. During his existence, the Aleksandrov ensemble was touring in more than 70 countries. According to its model in Russia and abroad, a number of military musical and choreographic ensembles have been created and are working.
