Alexander L Karageorgievich is the Orthodox king of Yugoslavia. Bondareva E.A.
The book of Elena Bondareva is the first biography of the monarch of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenians Alexander Karageorgievich. More than a hundred years ago, he created and headed this common state, which arose at the end of the First World War. Alexander was an outstanding military leader and reformer, made a lot of efforts to prevent the new world massacre, strengthening regional unions: a small Entente and the Balkan pact. His tragic death from the Nazis bullet in Marseille in 1934 changed the history of Yugoslavia and was reflected in the fate of Europe.
A special place in the book is occupied by Russia's themes in the life of the Yugoslav king, his relations with the imperial family, Alexander's concern for Russians about Russians in exile. Work in the archives of Russia and Serbia made it possible to introduce new documents about the life and the fate of the outstanding monarch of the 20th century.
