Ambivalence of power: mythology, ontology, praxis. Koretskaya M.

Having lasted more than a century in the focus of the most close philosophical attention, the problem of power has acquired a classic character, but at the same time it has not lost its severity and did not get rid of ambiguity. It seems important to the author to take this circumstance seriously and identify the logic and genealogy of the effects of the ambivalence of the authorities and its philosophical problematization. Power is understood by philosophers as space -forming creative power, establishing values ​​and assuming order, and as a repressive machine of domination, focused on suppression and introducing control everywhere. The sacralization of power is no less paradoxical: delegating as grace, it has a tendency to become a source of filth for its carrier. The ontological status of the philosophical concept of power is also ambiguous: its demonstrative postetaphysical potential does not cancel less obvious, but sustainable metaphysical inertia. Not to mention the fact that an ambivalent description of the nature of power in philosophy can be understood, including as a projection of always problematic and ambiguous relations of intellectuals and power. The book is intended for philosophers, representatives of humanities (sociologists, anthropologists, historians, psychologists) and a wide range of readers who are interested in the problems of power in humanitarian research.
