Japan, XII century. Katsuro was the best fisherman throughout the empire, but this did not protect him from death. He supplied carps for ponds in the imperial city and therefore had a special position. Now his young widow Miyuki should replace him and deliver him to the emperor the carps remaining after her husband. She will be forced to make a journey for several hundred kilometers through the forests and mountains, avoiding storms and earthquakes, faced with the attack of the robbers and the betrayal of fellow travelers, struggling with water monsters and cruelty of people. And only the memory of their happy moments with the Katsuro of the past will give Miyuki the strength to overcome the obstacles and convey his burden to the service of gardens and startups.
