This documentary novel, shedding light on the last days of one of the most famous polar travelers of all time of Ruala Amundsen, became a sensation in Norway.
June 18, 1928, Amundsen left Tromso to join the unprecedented on its scale International rescue operation to search for expedition participants on a trained collapse of the Italian airship. Together with five comrades Amundsen, on board the French aircraft, Latam flew to the search area, three hours later signals came from the aircraft. It was the last news of Ruala Amundsen. “Latam” and the entire crew disappeared without a trace.
Monica Kristensen is known as one of the best writers of the popular science genre in Norway. The polar traveler and scientist herself, in the book “Amundsen.
