Analgesics in geriatrics. Ushkalova E.A., Zyryanov S.K., Buttranova O.I.

The leadership sets out modern information about epidemiology, pathogenesis and the features of the clinical manifestations of pain in elderly and senile people, presented from the standpoint of evidence and personalized medicine. Actual approaches to the pharmacotherapy of pain used in international and Russian clinical recommendations are reflected in detail. A complete description of the main groups of drugs with analgesic effects (non -steroidal anti -inflammatory drugs, simple analgesics, opioid and adjuvant analgesics) are given, and the features of their use in geriatric practice are considered, including data on optimal dosing modes, typical unwanted phenomena and measures for their prevention and elimination.
