Yuri Mikhailovich Lotman (1922-1993)-an outstanding scientist-literary critic, founder of the Tartu-Moscow Semiotic school. The monograph “Analysis of the poetic text” is the most important part of the scientific heritage of the world -famous Russian scientist, philologist and culturologist, the founder of domestic semiotics.

In his monograph, the author poses in the Center for the presentation of the methodology of analyzing poetic text and verse. Its goal is not only to familiarize the reader with the results obtained by one or another scientist as to arm it with methods that would allow him to independently discover the hidden meanings of his favorite artistic and poetic texts.
