Analytic geometry. 5th edition. Pogorelov A.V.
For analytical geometry, the determining is not the subject of research, but the method. The essence of this method lies in the fact that geometric objects are compared in some standard way of equation (systems of equations) so that the geometric relations of figures are expressed in the properties of their equations. The proposed lecture course sets out the basics of the analytical geometry method as applied to simple geometric objects. Particular attention is paid to the issue of selecting exercises and their location, since the main means of mastering the methods of analytical geometry is to solve problems. Each paragraph of the main text ends with a number of exercises. Their special location narrows the scope of the solution searches and makes individual difficult exercises to be quite affordable for students. At the end of the book, answers and instructions for exercises are given, and in some cases complete decisions are given. The book is intended for students of mathematical and physical specialties of higher educational institutions. It can also be useful to graduate students, teachers, scientists.
