Anatomical atlas. Toldt K.
The author of the unique publication “Anatomical Atlas for Students and Doctors” is Karl Toldt Honored Professor of the University of Vienna. He was sure: his work, first published a hundred years ago, is extremely important and absolutely necessary for those who study medicine or professionally engage in it. The author’s task was not easy: to convey the anatomical features of the human body, to represent the ratio of organs “participating in the structure of the whole”. From here he saw the need for "clarity of drawings and their visual location." The author was assisted by his colleagues, practicing specialists in the field of anatomy. They carried out a complex and painstaking work. “Illustrations”, if I may say about the organs of the human body, are “accurate and original”, as he himself spoke of them. All drawings are accompanied by texts in which the “essence of each organ” and its connection with others are opened. The work was published in three volumes. We united them in one edition, preserving everything that this atlas is remarkable.
