A textbook is prepared in accordance with the program "Anatomy of the Central Nervous System". It discusses the issues of general anatomy, development and structure of the spinal cord and brain, the peripheral nervous system, as well as the general principles and features of the structural organization of the autonomous nervous system.

The textbook includes an anatomical description of the senses that ensure distant interaction With the environment, the issues of blood supply to the brain and spinal cord, the structure of the brain shell and the cerebrospinal fluid system as a whole are considered. The presentation of the material is accompanied by traditional and original schemes and drawings that significantly facilitate the perception of the text. The anatomical terms in the manual are given taking into account the recommendations of the International Anatomical Nomenclature, adopted by the International Committee on Anatomical Terminology (FCat, 1998).

The book was tested when lectures and conducting seminars at the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis and the Russian University of Friendship of the Russian University of Friendship peoples.
