Kim Eran was born in 1980 in Incheon (South Korea), graduated from the National University of Arts, studied theater and drama. She began to write early and received the first literary prize at twenty -three years. Her most famous work, marked by several awards, the novel “I will miss” (2011) was published in Russian (St. Petersburg: Hyperion, 2020). A collection of stories “And there was summer around” - sad, full of sympathy of the history of people who have encountered grief and difficulties. These are stories that the world is not the way it seems: our knowledge of people, about life and about ourselves can be unsteady, but the knowledge of the world and our own soul is the only possible way.
