The first translation into English of the classical Jungian work of the respected Swiss analyst and one of the long -standing associates of K. G. Yung. The first part of the book examines the concept of anime, the female aspect of the male psyche, in the works of Ryder Haggard, in particular, in his famous novel “She”. This part also gives the background and psychological assessment of the author’s adventurous life in Africa, Victorian England and in its many travels. The second part of the book traces the development of anime in a series of dreams, which a man in the second half of his life experienced for several years.
