In addition, Annie had to confront public censure - it turned out to be very inconvenient to ride a bicycle in a long skirt, and as a result, Annie changed into a men's suit, which caused many angry comments. Anyway, to the idea that a woman alone can go around the whole world, and even fully provide herself on the way, society was completely not ready. But not one of these tests shake her determination to continue the journey and return to America by the first woman to go around the globe on a bicycle. The power of the will of Annie, her persistence and the ability to follow her dream, no matter what causes great admiration.

the author of the book - Robert Baleschi Fanchell - lives and works on Sardinia. Like Annie, she loves to ride a bicycle - in fact, during a bicycle walk, she saw an Annie Kopchovsky’s photo on the cover of the book and became interested in her story.
