Occasionally, he conducts conversations with another artist suffering from alcohol dependence, who is also called ASLE. Both asle are friends and in a sense are two versions of the same life.

On the eve of Christmas, one of them finds the other in a snowdrift. Saving a comrade from cold death, the hero recalls the past and begins to look at friendship, faith and creativity in a new way.
