Anthology of modern Polish drama 3

“Brilliantly...”, “Pure truth...”, “Only one thing is embarrassing - where does such awareness about me come from?” - Russian spectators write, looking at the "Psyche Day", the film adaptation of the play of the Polish playwright and director Marek Kothersky. A similar experience - recognizing yourself in the mirror of a different culture - will have to survive the reader of this anthology. The crisis of identity and marginalization of people who have not found themselves in the post -communist world, fear of the future and ghosts of the past, intolerance to another and the inability to understand the neighbor - all this is in the field of vision of both Russian and Polish authors. At the same time, the artistic language of understanding the new reality in Polish drama is significantly different from domestic theatrical practice, and therefore, probably, Polish plays are so in demand today on the Russian stage.

This book is already the third anthology of modern Polish drama, which is published in the Publishing House of UFOs. In it, along with the new texts of the authors well -known in Russia (Dorota Maslovskaya, Tadeusz Slobojanki and others), the work of playwrights that have not yet been translated into Russian, who are no less passion for the most burning questions of our time.
