Antiquity shop. Dickens Ch.
At twelve years old, Charles John Huffam Dickens (1812-1870), the eldest of the six children of the poor clerk John Dickens, went to work at the Vaxi Factory in Hangerford-STAS on Strand. It was not so much painful poverty as humiliation - dirty work instead of school classes, a father in a debt prison... It was then that the determination was born to get out of poverty and unknown, along with an undoubted acting gift, a brilliant memory and an unspur against Dickens, who made Dickens the most famous writer of England. From the factory worker to the recognized hero of the literary world, - “Big Hopes” by Charles Dickens were happily realized.
“Antiquity shop” - this is the interweaving of a realistic story and fairy tale with Gothic elements, “bizarre”, “strange and grotesque” characters, gloomy secrets. In the novel about Nell, a little girl of an “endlessly sweet temper”, her grandfather, who survived from the mind of a gangster-laughter, and pursuing them to a cruel dwarf, a Rostist Kvilpe-an eternal theme of the confrontation of good and evil. One of the most touching novels by Charles Dickens.
