Anton-Goremyk. Village. Fishermen. Grigorovich D.V.

In the stories “Village” and “Anton - Goremyk” Dmitry Vasilyevich Grigorovich (1822 - 1900) contrasts the despotism of the landowners of poverty and the lack of rights of ordinary peasants. Along with a critical attitude to the nobility, love and sympathy for the people are shown. In the "fishermen" the author draws the perfect image of a peasant. This work also contains rich ethnographic material: folk rites, customs and superstitions.

All three works are written before the reform of 1861 and fully reflect the views of the nobility and intelligentsia to modern Russia.
