Люси Мод Монтгомери (1874-1942) - канадская писательница, человек национального исторического значения в Канаде. The author of the cycle of novels about Anya from Avonleya. Like her heroine, she began to write as a child. She worked as a teacher, wrote for newspapers and magazines. The most famous works of L. M. Montgomery are “Anya from Green Mesonins” and “Anya from Avonleya”. Many adaptations were shot on them (the first in 1919, the latter in 2017). Anya is an orphan, a girl from a shelter, accidentally gets into the house of his brother and sisters Matthew and Marilla instead of a boy who was supposed to help his guardians on the farm. At first, they intended to send a talkative girl back to the shelter. But very soon, Ana managed to conquer the hearts of Avonleya’s residents with its immediacy.
