This apocrypha was written, presumably, between the 3rd and 1st centuries BC. e. Until the 18th century, the text was unknown in Europe, but after it was discovered as part of the Ethiopian Bible, it was erected to the canon, and now the book of Enoch is considered one of the most significant apocryphones of the Old Testament. The book tells about the visions and prophecies of Enoch, about his journey to heaven. According to legend, he, revered as the founder of writing, will return to Earth during the time of the Antichrist. The book is presented in the translation of Archpriest Alexander Vasilievich Smirnov, carried out in 1888.
