“The Dictionary of Arab Aqueline and the Qur'an” V.F. Gyrgas rightfully occupied a special place in the history of domestic arabistic and Islamic studies. This is the first and still the only Arab-Russian dictionary, compiled on the basis of classical Arabic texts, primarily the Koran and Muslim traditions (hadiths)-two main sources of Islamic doctrine and law.
