Archimboldo created portraits of his heroes... from fruits, vegetables, flowers and many other objects. Fantastic images seemed in a fiction that was not related to reality. However, the grotesque was only the way to an accurate and vivid characteristic of images.

Giuseppe Archimboldo lived and created in the 16th century. He was successful in life and work. The rulers loved him, and the life of the master at court was bright and diverse. Running traditions, brilliant improvisation helped the painter create masterpieces, which, it would seem, had nothing to do with reality. He created portraits on the verge of absurdity - from fruits, vegetables, colors and many other objects. However, the portraits he created in fact in fact brightly and accurately characterized those whom he portrayed.
