Sylvia Plates is a cult American poetess and winner of the Pulitzer Prize. A symbol of confessional poetry. Martyr, feminist, rebel-you can call it differently.

But there is one indisputable fact: it is simply impossible to imagine poetry of the 20th century without it.

The collection of the poems “Ariel” is rightfully considered one of the best works of Sylvia of boards. It was published in 1965, two years after the death of the author.
