Sean Tan is the author and illustrator of such books as “Dear thing”, “Red Tree” and “The Arrival. Arrival". All of them were awarded numerous international awards. The cartoon based on the book “Boach of a thing” in 2011 received an Oscar as the best animated short film. The graphic novel “The Arrival. Arrival ”received the Bologna Ragazzi Award, and was also recognized as the best book with pictures. Sean works are actively translated and published around the world. In 2001, Sean received the prize as the best fantast artist, and in 2011 he became the laureate of the Astrid Lindgren Prize-the most authoritative reward in the field of children's literature.
