Arzamas. Dimich I.
The dramatic novel of the Serbian translator, playwright Ivan Dimich (born 1957) was created at the junction of prose and drama, tragedy and comedy, fiction and reality. The novel is based on the relationship of the mother and the aging daughter. The narrative is built on dialogs; They are separated by prosaic inserts, in which the Czechs, Russell, Wittgenstein, Goya, Heidegger, E. Dikinson are appearing. Among the characters are residents of modern Belgrade - doctors, lawyers, plumber, postman. The author, following Leo Tolstoy, remembers the “Arzamas horror”, through which everyone should go in order to try to understand the nature of happiness and death. The publication is addressed to all those interested in modern Slavic prose.
