The task of the Atlas is to help students in the practical development of the material of laboratory classes in the course of histology, cytology and embryology. The basis of the atlas is the new original copyright drawings of histological drugs and electron-microscopic photographs, reflecting the main sections of the standard course on the subject, supplemented by a number of schemes. All chapters of the atlas contain brief systematic educational texts, which provide the most important definitions, concepts and classifications necessary for the assimilation of the studied sections of the subject, as well as explanations to illustrations that reveal the structure and functions of the presented cells, tissues, organs and their structural components.

Atlas is intended primarily for students studying the course of histology, cytology and embryology at various faculties of medical universities, but can also be recommended as a manual for the development of this subject in biological and veterinary educational institutions. It can be useful as a textbook and a reference book on the structure of cells, tissues and organs for graduate students, teachers and doctors of various specialties.
