Atlas. Personal library. Borges H.L.
Jorge Louis Borges is one of the most famous writers of the twentieth century, which largely determined the appearance of modern literature. Umberto IVF in his essay on the influence of Borges formulates the basic principle of the works of the great Argentine: "Books talk to each other." Borges himself wrote: "Someone is proud of every book written, I am the one read." In numerous interviews, Bores called himself not so much a writer as an attentive, grateful reader. It is not surprising that most of his literary heritage is articles, notes, reviews and reflections on literature. These are the two collections of Borges: Atlas and Personal Library.
Atlas - this is a kind of travel diary, a collection of elegant miniatures born in the imagination of a blind wanderer. The “Personal Library” consists of Borges's preface to his favorite books. Each page of these collections reflects the unique style of the author, where prose balances on the verge of poetry, and the Universe rotates around the most precious object - books.
Part of the texts come out in Russian for the first time.
